We are seeking a skilled Clinical Blood Collector Specialist to join our team at Labcorp.
Job Overview
This is a unique opportunity for a motivated individual to gain extensive experience in collecting blood specimens from patients of all ages, while working with various teams and locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect blood samples via venipuncture and capillary techniques for laboratory testing
- Obtain specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other specialized collections
- Process billing information and collect payments as required
- Precisely prepare collected specimens for analysis and testing
- Maintain accurate patient and specimen logs
- Provide exceptional customer service to all patients
- Perform administrative tasks and duties as needed
- Travel to multiple sites when necessary
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completion of a training program from an accredited agency, or prior experience as a phlebotomist
- At least 2 years of phlebotomy experience, including work with patients of all ages
- A valid driver's license and good driving record
- Must be at least 21 years old
- A proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation and a clean driving record (if applicable)
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- The ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
