What are the responsibilities and job description for the Diagnostic Testing Professional position at Labcorp?
We are seeking experienced Laboratory Technologists to join our team at Ascension St. John's Hospital in St. Johns, FL.
As a Laboratory Technologist, you will be responsible for performing routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures, monitoring and troubleshooting instrumentation, and preparing, testing and evaluating new reagents or controls.
You will also be required to determine the acceptability of specimens for testing, perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures, identify and replenish testing bench supplies, and assist with processing of specimens when needed.
To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or meet local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements, as well as FL Medical Technologist (MT) license and ASCP or AMT certification preferred.
