">Job Responsibilities:
- Determine specimen acceptability according to established criteria
- Perform routine and complex technical procedures
- Monitor and troubleshoot instrumentation
- Demonstrate decision-making skills regarding testing and problem-solving
- Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls
- Report accurate and timely test results
- Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures
- Identify and replenish testing bench supplies
- Assist with processing of specimens
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Biological Science, Medical Technology, or a related field
- FL Medical Technologist (MT) license required
- Previous clinical laboratory testing experience is highly preferred
- ASCP or AMT certification is preferred
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus
- High level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skills
- Must pass a standardized color vision screen
