As a Float Phlebotomist, you will have the opportunity to quickly gain a vast amount of experience working with a variety of patients, team members, and clinics/locations. Job Responsibilities:
Blood Collections
You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
SPECIMEN COLLECTIONS
You will collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
Data Entry
You will perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
Administrative Duties
You will process billing information and collect payments when required.
Patient Care
You will prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
Maintenance
You will maintain patient and specimen information logs.
Customer Service
You will provide superior customer service to all patients.
Travel
You will travel to additional sites when needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education
You must have a High school diploma or equivalent.
Phlebotomy Certification
You must have phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency or previous experience as a phlebotomist is required.
Driver's License
You must have a Valid Driver's License and good driving record.
Age
You must be at least 21 years old.
Customer Service
You must have a proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
Communication Skills
You must have strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
Teamwork
You must be able to work independently or in a team environment.
Comfort Level
You must be comfortable working under minimal supervision.
Reliable Transportation
You must have reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable.
Overtime
You must be flexible to work overtime as needed.
Color Blindness Test
You must be able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
