Job Overview
Do you wonder what makes buildings tick? LaBella Associates, is seeking an Electrical Engineering intern with a career interest in Building Projects to work in our Buffalo, NY office. This position will work with other Engineers as part of a Project Team to develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications, and reports for buildings from conception to construction. Individual will work closely with other engineers and team members to produce electrical engineering documents.
The Building Engineering Division at LaBella provides complete building engineering services including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural engineering. Services range from feasibility studies and analysis through project design and construction. Our engineers are well versed in new construction, renovations, additions, analysis, special structures, and design/build projects for a variety of clients.
Candidates will work on an interesting variety of project types including K-12 and higher education, municipal, health care, large commercial, residential and other unique projects.
Responsibilities
- Work with other engineers as part of a Project Team to develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Prepare electrical design drawings using Revit and AutoCAD from markups/redlines.
- Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner with co-workers, staff, project managers, other disciplines, and all other employees.
- An interest in building systems, and a curiosity to want to learn more.
- Working towards a Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in electrical engineering or related field.
- Background in AutoCAD and/or Revit is a plus.
- Experience in the A/E consulting business is a plus.
- Strong writing, organizational and communications skills.
- Ability to work on several projects simultaneously.
