What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Scientist position at LaBella Associates?
We are currently hiring an entry level Environmental Scientist/Geologist/Engineer in our Environmental division at our Richmond, VA office. The Environmental Scientist/Geologist/Engineer will support environmental monitoring projects for both ecological and remediation services (such as soil management oversight, stormwater inspection oversight, wetland and stream delineations, etc.). A successful candidate will be able to perform various tasks including field work, data collection, environmental oversight on construction sites, and support project managers on various projects.
Duties
- Assist with environmental oversight at active construction sites
- Assist with records documentation and report writing
- Support field leads and project managers
- 0-5 Years of experience required /preferred
- BS in Environmental Science, Engineering. or Geology preferred MS Office Suite
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs
- Ability to walk all day over rough terrain
- Ability to travel regularly
