GENERAL LABOR – Swamper
Labor Finders is currently looking for General Labor/Swamper for a local Waste and Recycle Company
Labor Finders is lookingto hire for the Swamper position with a local Waste and Recycle company in Paso Robles.
Shift: Day shift with overtime Pay rate: $18/hour Office Location: Paso Robles
Description: Under general supervision of the site supervisor and route driver, the swamper will be assisting the driver with emptying all containers and bins along the routes throughout the shift as well as any duties assigned by driver or site supervisor as needed.
Job Duties
- Assisting the driver with waste and recycle collection on an established route
- Ride along to different locations collecting/emptying containers and bins
- Will open trash bins for driver once the bins are out and ready for collection
- Once the bin is emptied by the truck, the swamper will push the trash bins back to their starting point, close the lids, and jump back into the truck.
Requirements of the General Laborer
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to push and pull full and empty trash bins though out the duration of the shift
- Must be able to empty containers by hand when not completely emptied by hydraulic dump
- Must have appropriate work boots
- Clean cut and presentable to the public
- Able to work in outdoor conditions
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be dependable
- Must be able to load and/or unload materials
- Heavy lifting is required
- Must report to jobsite on time so driver can start route on time
- Ability to work in varying outdoor climates
