Job Summary:
The Warehouse Manager oversees warehousing and distribution operations, managing daily workflows to ensure smooth, efficient processes from receiving to shipping. This role requires strong organizational skills, hands-on problem-solving abilities, and leadership experience to guide and motivate. The Warehouse Manager will also coordinate with other departments, including production and customer service, to ensure timely fulfillment and accurate inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving, storage and inventory control.
- Lead, train, and develop warehouse staff to ensure high performance and adherence to safety standards.
- Maintain an organized and efficient warehouse layout, optimizing space for maximum productivity.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to create a secure work environment.
- Coordinate closely with manufacturing to align warehouse functions with production schedules and customer demands.
- Utilize warehouse management software to monitor inventory levels, manage stock movements, and improve inventory accuracy.
- Prepare and monitor daily and monthly reports on inventory, productivity, and other performance metrics.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance warehouse operations and reduce costs.
- Ensure that all incoming and outgoing shipments are handled according to the company quality standards and customer requirements.
Qualifications:
- Experience in warehouse management or logistics, preferably in a manufacturing environment, would be a plus.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Familiarity with inventory management principles, lean warehousing practices, and process improvement methodologies.
- Ability to lift and move materials as needed, up to 50 pounds.
