2nd Shift Maintenance Technician

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Hours: 3:30pm - 1am Monday - Friday

Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery, equipment, building, and office facilities to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain productivity, quality, and safety in compliance with SQF Level guidelines.
• Ensure all equipment is ready for production.
• Respond quickly to equipment malfunctions or breakdowns.
• Adhere to the lockout/tagout program for safety protocols.
• Ensure preventive maintenance is performed on schedule and provide timely updates to the Maintenance Manager.
• Assist the Maintenance Manager in training and coaching production personnel on equipment operations.
• Inspect, check, and repair all lighting within the facility.
• Inspect machinery, equipment, and systems to ensure they meet operational standards.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager, production, and QA personnel to resolve maintenance issues.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment to protect employees and visitors.

Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills, dependable, safety-conscious, and bilingual (English/Spanish preferred).

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two years of maintenance experience in the food industry, with knowledge of USDA and OSHA regulations.
• A college or vocational degree is preferred.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work in wet, cold, refrigerated, and frozen environments.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
