POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Pricing Manager is responsible for developing pricing strategies that align with business objectives and market dynamics, driving revenue growth and profitability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze current and historical results of pricing activity to identify opportunities, develop ideas, and make recommendations for optimal pricing performance to the merchant team
- Manage the pricing tools – continually improving & evolving the models and process
- Strong analytical skills creative problem solver that can run analyses on large data sets, build complex analytical models sources of information from disparate sources and deliver comprehensive, balanced & actionable analysis
- Coordinate with merchant team and store operations to develop and maintain systematic pricing rules and strategies
- Create and maintain targeted events providing insights on impact and effectiveness
- Conduct Omni channel inventory analysis identifying divisional attribute discrepancies
- Create and or maintain existing databases identifying compliance elements i.e. MAP pricing attributes and metrics associated with current and future divisional ownership
- Seek to integrate third party data deliveries into existing pricing tools providing enhanced visibility, recommendation and insights to internal stakeholders
- Provide support and analyses on ad hoc projects
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to multi-task and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment. This individual must be a self-starter who needs little to no guidance on the basics of retail math and analysis. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent education and/or experience
- Experience in retail, omini-channel retail helpful
- Expert in Microsoft Excel (pivots, macros, nested formula building)
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite applications
- Working knowledge of Power BI, integrating and aggregating large data sets
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage priorities, projects and tasks
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of management
- Ability to utilize web-based tools for database management and actionable analysis
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Strong Retail Math knowledge is a must with the ability to analyze data.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems and recommend plans of action using factual information.
Strong analytical skills.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
