Attorney

We are looking for a persuasive attorney who has experience resolving complicated family, business, and property scenarios.

Experience:

• Have at least three years of family law experience.
• Have handled at least 60 divorce cases from start to finish.
• Have litigated at least 10 contested evidentiary hearings and/or trials.
• Have handled at least 30 post-judgment cases (custody, parenting time, support) from start to finish.

The Job

• Demonstrate experience in taking ownership of a client's case – discovery, pleadings, motions; collaboration and mediation; pretrial hearings, motion hearings, and trials.
• Conduct client meetings and recommend strategies.
• Delegate work to paralegals and legal assistants, and monitor their work.
• Calendars tasks to ensure the case moves through the legal process in accordance with goals and established milestones.
• Foster and maintain an excellent rapport with clients through consistent communication and thorough advisement.
• 20 billable hours per week.

• You will contribute to developing the strategy of a case and know where to find the rules of procedure to back up that case strategy.
• You know your way around the courtroom and how to project confidence and competence when dealing with people on behalf of our clients.

Salary is commensurate with skill and experience and is negotiable. The base starts at $85,000.00 depending upon what we see in your talent. This is an Exempt position, as we do expect hours to be 40 most weeks. We offer a generous benefits package including health insurance, 401K with matching, and paid time off for holidays and vacation. We also pay for continuing legal education, bar dues, and malpractice insurance.
