Overview
Transform customer-specified technical information into a format that can be used to manufacture the product.
Responsibilities
· Creates and maintains Bills of Materials, in the MRP system by analyzing engineering prints and associated technical documentation, by utilizing knowledge of material requirements and by coordinating with various departments.
· Evaluate ECNs and other notifications to determine necessary changes to the Bill of Materials and updates when necessary.
· Provides interpretation of Engineering prints and associated technical documents to calculate raw material dimensional requirements for the manufacturing process and structure of the Bills of Materials.
· Accurately implements changes to part descriptions and Bills of Material in the MRP as required by ECNs and other notifications, or in support of other departments.
· Tracks backlog of daily work adjusts work hours to ensure the backlog remains within the established targets and communicates work hour adjustments to the Manager.
· Collaborates with Cost Accounting to inform them of updated information.
· Effectively communicates process status to other departments.
· Supports continuous improvement initiatives by participating in special projects.
Experience
· High School Diploma required,
· Ability to be highly detail-oriented.
· Ability to rapidly enter data by typing with a high degree of accuracy.
· Has a basic understanding of MRP,- Has a detailed understanding of Bills of Materials and ECN components.
· Ability to effectively analyze engineering prints and other technical documents.
· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate professionally verbally and in writing, in a high-stress environment.
· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to organize large amounts of hard and soft copies of data.
· Basic understanding of manufacturing methods processes.
· Basic math skills.
