Job Summary

Under the direction of the Human Resources Manager the Human Resources Generalist provides support in all areas of the human resources department. The HRG provides administrative support to the human resource department to ensure the operation will be running smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Recruit, interview, and assist in talent acquisition and recruitment process of hiring qualified job applicants.

· Provide support for employment related inquires.

· Coordinate the hiring process, including but not limited to, conducting pre-employment background, drug screening and reference checks.

· Perform benefits administration to include the process of onboarding, provide support during the annual open enrollment, assist and communicate benefit information to employees.

· Conduct new hire orientation and provide new employees with a positive first impression of Labrie and the organization.

· Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the HR Manager.

· Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and reviewing policies and practices to maintain compliance.

· Maintain knowledge of best practices, trends, new technology in HR and employment law.

· Maintain confidentiality at all times related to employee information such as personal data, benefits, tax data, attendance, performance reviews or evaluations, termination information including but not limited to various data and internal systems.

· Actively support the company and their values, mission and vision.

· Assume other activities and responsibilities as directed by the HR Manager or HR Director.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no direct supervisory responsibility.

Qualifications/Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or equivalent

· 3 - 5 years of Human Resource Generalist experience preferred

· Proven experience as an HR Generalist and additional HR training will be a plus.

· SHRM certification preferred.

· Outstanding knowledge of MS Office, HRIS systems (e.g., ADP Workforce Now) will be a plus.

· HR experience with FMLA and recruiting.

· Knowledge of laws and regulations governing Human Resource functions

· Must be proactive with enthusiasm to share new ideas and create solutions for HR initiatives and challenges.

· Excellent communication and people skills

· Aptitude in problem-solving

· Desire to work as a team with a result driven approach.

· Proficiency with personal computer and Microsoft Office Suite software applications

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

· Knowledge/understanding of benefit administration.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with the ability to change tasks as needed.

· Ability to communicate effectively and reach a diverse, multigenerational workforce.

· Ability to communicate to get desired results.

· Excellent data entry/proofreading skills

· Ability to exercise a high level of independent judgement on a customary and regular basis.
