FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Annual Contract: Full-time, 40 hours per week, 52 Weeks per Year
Rate of Pay: $18 - $20 per hour

General Position Summary:
The Event Coordinator supports the logistical production of Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe University events that share and enhance the brand of the University. He/she is a problem solver, who has a proven record of being a team player; is open to learning and leading by example; and responds in a professional and courteous manner to internal and external constituents.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree
- Experience and proficiency working with computers and Microsoft Office programs
- The ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand customer service environment; superb customer service skills required
- Attention to detail
- Excellent time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of importance of confidentiality with all information received both written and oral
- Support the mission and core values of the University
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience in a university setting
- Experience working with a donor database
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate events, managing all logistical and programmatic requirements, within the respective portfolio from beginning-to-end to ensure their successful execution

- Evaluate each event in terms of logistics and make recommendations for improvements.
- Manage and cultivate authentic relationships with all staff, students, and key internal and external stakeholders
- Attend internal meetings, committees, and both formal & ad hoc functions, as required to increase opportunities for the department and University as a whole
- Organize, coordinate, and administer planning meetings with department heads to discuss programming, development, and implementation of on-campus, virtual and hybrid events
- Assemble and organize a volunteer team to assist with various tasks the days leading up to and through the events (e.g., swag bags, badges, registration desks staffing)
- Process event requisitions include - facility, vehicle, technology, finance, marketing, etc.
- Build organization culture by supporting internal university events
- Track ROI, engagement, and audience feedback to measure results, assess opportunities for improvement, and optimize future events for an exceptional attendee experience
- Maintain the University’s event calendar
- Other duties as assigned
