SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable part-time CBD cashier to join our team at Little Pines, LLC. The primary responsibility of our CBD Cashiers is to consistently provide the highest level of customer experience and shopping experience, perform monetary transactions for customers in a CBD retail setting accurately and efficiently, while also working well in a team-based environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Specific duties include, but are not limited, to the following:
- Processing Transactions: You will be responsible for processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently, handling customer payments, and making change as needed.
- Customer Service: You will provide excellent customer service, answering questions and addressing concerns about CBD products, and making recommendations to customers based on their needs and preferences.
- Maintaining Store Environment: You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, including restocking shelves, cleaning the sales floor, and ensuring that all products are properly displayed and labeled.
- Product Knowledge: You will be expected to stay uptodate on knowledge of CBD products, including their benefits, uses, and potential interactions with other medications.
- Cash Handling: You will be responsible for managing cash handling, including handling customer payments, making change, and balancing the cash register at the end of each shift.
- Returns and Exchanges: You will be responsible for processing returns and exchanges, following company policies and procedures, and ensuring that customers are satisfied with their purchases.
- Team Collaboration: You will work effectively in a team environment to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service, collaborating with other team members to ensure that customers have a positive experience in the store.
- Inventory Management: You will be responsible for monitoring inventory levels, reporting low stock levels to management, and assisting with inventory management tasks as needed.
- Point of Sale (POS) System: You will be responsible for operating the POS system, processing transactions, and managing cash handling.
- Compliance: You will be expected to follow all company policies and procedures, as well as comply with relevant laws and regulations, including those related to the sale of CBD products.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: This person will not supervise any employees.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in a retail store environment and will routinely use computers, registers, scales, carts, and other light equipment used to move and manage inventory, store displays, and product shipments.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Sit, stand, kneel, bend, twist and reach above shoulders.
- Lift, carry, push, and pull items that weigh up to 50 pounds.
- Use fine motor skills and dexterity to grasp, sort, organize, and inventory small items and products.
- Operate a telephone, computer, sort/file paperwork and parts.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: This is a [Part-Time/ NON-EXEMPT] position with [20] hours per week expected. Coverage of shifts ranging over nights, weekends, and some holidays is expected with the majority of time scheduled during store hours of operation. Must attend all mandatory meetings and participate in training as required.
TRAVEL: Occasional travel is expected for this position.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with CBD products and the CBD industry (or willingness to learn).
- Must complete Cannabis 101 and Budtending & Retail Work Certification within 60 days of hire.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software and pointofsale systems.
- Knowledge of CBD regulations and compliance.
- Certification in CBD sales or a related field (e.g., CBD certification, cannabis industry certification).
