Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in the food service industry. Our restaurant is open Wednesday through Saturday. Our immediate need is for Friday and Saturday evenings. Shift starts at 5pm.
As a Food Runner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their meals promptly and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hospitality. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
This position receives tips as part of compensation.
Duties
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all food items are presented attractively and meet quality standards before serving.
- Assist servers by refilling drinks, clearing tables, and providing additional support as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, kitchen, and service stations throughout your shift.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication regarding orders and special requests.
- Help set up for banquets or special events, ensuring all items are prepared and organized.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and cleanliness standards is essential.
- Experience in kitchen operations or bartending is a plus.
- Must be able to lift and carry trays of food and beverages comfortably.
- A willingness to help team members and contribute to a positive work atmosphere.
