ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and user support of the College Student Information System (SIS), the underlying databases, and related systems and services.
- Ability to identify opportunities where emerging technologies could have a positive impact on College processes; conceptualize, scope, and implement solutions; set deliverables and milestones.
- Work with administrative users on standardizing data collection and creating workflow procedures to automate and streamline departmental processes.
- Create and design custom data reports for College departments and client module managers / staff.
- Collaborate with end users to translate business needs into technical requirements. Create and deliver intuitive, integrated, and consistent user experiences.
- Assist with the creation and integrity of mandatory / annual reports.
- Create technical documentation for business processes.
- Create and / or use effective metrics to support fact-based decision-making.
- Organize and train staff on application processes as needed.
- Assist in testing system patches and upgrades for functionality changes, clarify the intent of new features, and interact with staff / faculty
- Manage and maintain data integrity and security for SQL database.
- Maintain user accounts and permissions.
- All other duties as assigned.
KEY COMPETENCIES :
Strong understanding of data design, architecture, relational databases, and data modeling (MSSQL preferred)
