Job Summary
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) plays a crucial role in providing assistance and support to individuals with disabilities or special needs in various settings, including home community care, nursing homes, and memory care facilities. Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide direct support in implementing care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Facilitate social interactions and community engagement to promote inclusion.
- Monitor client behavior and report any changes or concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Assist with mobility needs, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Administer first aid as required and ensure that all safety protocols are followed.
- Document client progress and activities accurately in accordance with organizational policies.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Experience in direct support roles or familiarity with home community care practices is preferred.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and emergency response techniques.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
