We are looking for an experienced Optician who has an interest in or be willing to assume the role of front desk, if needed (training provided).
LaCroix Eye Care is a multi-specialty optometry private practice that provides full-scope, comprehensive eyecare and optical services. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with prior experience as an optician who is capable of being cross-trained in the following areas and looking to work with a team that cares about the patients they serve.
Responsibilities:
- Optician roles: aid in frame selection, lens measurements for single vision, bifocals, progressive and computer lenses, calculating total cost of materials based on vision insurance eligibility, collecting payment, and assisting with checkout
- Assist with checking in patients, making appointments, confirming appointments, answering phone calls, triaging phone calls, checking patients out
- (If needed) - Contact lens ordering, insurance verification, assist with new wearer, contact lens classes for patients (training provided)
- Help to educate patients of the eyecare services and benefits we provide
- Other duties as assigned by doctors
