The Materials Supervisor oversees the procurement, inventory management, and distribution of materials essential at the plant. This role ensures a steady flow of raw materials and supplies, supports production efficiency, and upholds quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and leadership skills, coupled with experience in materials management in a food or dairy production environment.
From your EXPERTISE to ours
Key responsibilities for this position include:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure sufficient materials are available for production needs.
- Coordinate the procurement of raw materials, packaging, and supplies while optimizing cost and quality.
- Develop and implement inventory control processes to minimize waste and improve efficiency.
- Work closely with production, quality assurance, and maintenance teams to meet production schedules and address material needs.
- Coordinate the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials within the facility.
- Oversee the maintenance of accurate inventory records using SAP
- Train and develop team members through mentoring, coaching and coordination of individual development plans. Assign daily tasks to team members. Provide performance feedback on an ongoing basis. Partner with HR on employee relations issues. Ensure adherence to safety and quality protocols.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Requirements

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (preferred); equivalent experience considered.
- 3 years of experience in materials management, preferably in a food or dairy production environment
- 3 years of supervisory or team lead experience.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control practices, supply chain processes, and ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management software.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Flexible availability to support production schedules, including occasional weekends or holidays as needed.

Salary : $80,000 - $92,000
