From your PASSION to ours
Reporting to Grated Supervisor(s), the Evaporator's main responsibility is to operate a multi-stage/multi-effect evaporator and a membrane RO for the purposes of increasing solids of whey to desired target.
From your EXPERTISE to ours
Key responsibilities for this position include:
- Operate a multi-stage/multi-effect evaporator and a membrane RO for the purposes of increasing solids of whey to desired target.
- Observes temperature, pressure, and vacuum gauge readings and adjusts pumps to conform to specifications.
- Turns feed valves to regulate flow of whey through system and to obtain specified concentration.
- Observes manometers and looks through sight glass to ensure that steam vapors are not carried to next effect with solution.
- Maintain equipment including valves, gaskets, etc. and communicate issues.
- Complete sanitation duties such as CIPs, COPs, titrations, Master Sanitation, etc.
- Perform product testing.
- Participate in Down Day activities as prescribed.
- Participate in changing out RO membranes as necessary.
- Document equipment settings and performance in logs and trackers as directed.
- Perform other assignments as assigned.
- Follow all Safety procedures and guidelines.
- Accountable for the QRMP (Quality Risk Management Process) standards as outlined in the plant's QRMP accountability document, including the implementation, improvement and ongoing maintenance.

- Must work in a safe, sanitary and productive manner in accordance with LHD GMP's.
- Obtain Pasteurization License in a timely manner.
- Good business participation (eg. Level 1, safety, process improvement).
- Performed similar positions in the past.
