From your PASSION to ours
This position is part of a team that contributes to network and security projects from conception through maintenance. The Network Administrator is responsible for maintaining and supporting LAN / WAN communications including VOIP and telepresence, while improving reliability, scalability, and security.
From your EXPERTISE to ours
Key responsibilities for this position include :
- Administration of routers, switches, wireless access points, firewalls, VOIP phone system, VOIP phones, smartphones, security updates and patches.
- Monitor a ticket queue and provide triage and diagnostic evaluation of incoming tickets assigned to the team.
- Perform regular audits of firewalls to ensure adherence to department defined standards.
- Continually improves the networks by monitoring and evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, and latency.
- Planning and executing the installation, configuration, and testing of network equipment.
- Become familiar with and adhere to network policies and procedures.
- Participate in technical projects with both internal and vendor supplied resources. This may include user impact assessment and task scheduling.
- Reporting of operational status of networks by gathering and prioritizing information.
- Contribution to network and security performance by assisting in definition of policy and procedures, monitoring, and reporting on adherence.
- Creation and maintenance of documentation on network and processes for internal use and user education.
- Member of a team that participates in off-hours, on-call rotation.
- Provides technical support and guidance to Help Desk Technicians & all staff.
- Completion of assigned tasks as needed to satisfy departmental and company mission.
