What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP of Government Relations & Outreach position at LADD, Inc. (OH)?
The VP of Government Relations and Outreach will oversee the overall strategic direction, planning, coordination, administration and evaluation of SLS' government relations and customer pipeline. The VP of Government Relations and Outreach is responsible for developing and ensuring new customers, effective communication, implementation of plans, systems, policies and processes for legal compliance when customers Implement Smart Living Systems and developing and understanding related rules and regulations for any state Smart Living Systems operates within and advocating for SLS' interest as needed.
Essential Functions · Develop and implement a customer acquisition strategy · Represent SLS’ interests among government officials, Manage Care Organizations and among providers · Ensure our operating system and procedures are in compliance with any given State’s Medicaid rules · Speak and represent SLS to the media and at conferences · Serve as a point of contact for potential customers and government officials · Contribute to and help execute SLS’ overall business strategy · Oversee press website and social media · Travel is likely to average 1-1.5 weeks a month
Education/Skills & Experience · Bachelor’s degree in related field; Law degree is a plus · A minimum of 5 years in government relations and/or software sales · Ability to listen and probe to understand underlying needs and/or root cause of an issue · Ability to provide thoughtful, progressive and strategic guidance to all level of management · Working knowledge CMS rule
Work Environment & Physical Demands · Work schedule will normally be Monday through Friday and may include weekends and/or evenings · Job will include being in a hybrid office environment and may require travel to other locations
