Position Title: Program and Operations Manager

Days: Monday - Friday and 1-2 Saturdays per month

Position Summary:The Program and Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of LHOI’s food pantry, clothing closet, and volunteer programs. This individual will also provide operational support to the Adult Day Service Center, after-school youth program, and summer youth camp as needed. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and passionate about community service, with strong leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Pantry and Clothing Closet Management
- Oversee the daily operations of the food pantry and clothing closet, ensuring efficient service delivery and a welcoming environment for clients.
- Manage inventory, coordinate donations, and ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
- Develop and implement systems for tracking usage, inventory, and reporting.
- Coordinate the ordering of food for the pantry and ensure timely delivery and distribution and ensure food safety standards are met.
- Assist with any additional data collection, tracking, and reporting as needed
- Keep pantries in compliance.
- Support maintenance of food pantry files in collaboration with Freestore Foodbank.
- Coordinate activities and donations with assigned leadership/
- Manage and schedule drivers for the food pantry operations for pick-ups.
- Collaborate with pantry volunteers to coordinate tasks and schedules effectively; as needed.
- Oversee holiday food distribution days pre-planning and distribution coordination, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Clothing Closet
- Support the transition of the clothing closet. This includes but is not limited to inventory of all the items, sorting through clothes, working with the Executive Director to restructure the closet, organize clothing drives, etc.

- Volunteer Coordination
- Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise volunteers for LHOI programs.
- Ensure volunteers are equipped to support the food pantry, clothing closet, and other organizational needs effectively.
- Foster a positive and engaging environment for volunteers.

Program Support
- Provide operational assistance to the Adult Day Service Center, after-school youth program, and summer youth camp as needed.
- Coordinate with program leaders to ensure smooth operations and resource allocation.

Administrative and Organizational Duties
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
- Monitor program budgets, expenditures, and resource needs.
- Generate reports and maintain accurate records of program activities and outcomes.

Community Engagement
- Build relationships with community partners, donors, and stakeholders to support LHOI’s mission.
- Represent LHOI at community events and meetings as required.

Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience working in the nonprofit sector and nonprofit operations, program management, or a similar role.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with diverse populations and a commitment to equity and inclusion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work both independently and as part of a team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
