Duties:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Provide support with patient mobility, including lifting, moving, ambulation, and transport
- Monitor and document vital signs, weight, and intake/output accurately
- Deliver sitter services, including 1:1 observation and telesitting, as required
- Collect specimens (e.g., urine, stool, sputum) for laboratory testing
- Set up and monitor medical equipment, including oxygen and suction devices
- Communicate patient status changes and observations to the supervising nurse promptly
- Respond to emergencies by performing Basic Life Support (BLS) and managing crisis situations, such as preventing falls and controlling bleeding
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and assist with the orientation of new CNA staff as a preceptor
- Certification:
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association preferred)
- Experience:
- Minimum of one year of CNA experience within the last three years
- Immunizations:
- Proof of negative TB test within the past year
- Hepatitis B vaccination (or signed declination form)
- Current influenza vaccination during flu season
- Citizenship:
- Must be a U.S. citizen or provide proof of legal authorization to work in the United States
- Familiarity with medical terminology and patient care procedures
- Strong observational skills and the ability to document patient behavior and physical care
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (e.g., CPRS)
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Shifts available: 8–12 hours, including day, evening, and night shifts
- May require holiday and emergency coverage with prior notice
