Ladoga Recovery Center is a new and emerging facility in Ladoga, IN, specializing in substance use disorder treatment, offering detox services and short-term residential recovery programs as a non-skilled facility.
Job Summary
The Recovery Technician at Ladoga Recovery Center is responsible for providing basic care and other related clinical support activities as directed by the Clinical Director and Nursing staff at the residential Substance Abuse Treatment facility.
Key Responsibilities
Client Care and Support:
- Perform basic support care, ADL, and hygiene for clients as directed.
- Assist patients when required and escort them to scheduled meals/groups.
- Listen to and observe the behavior of clients.
- Build rapport & provide emotional support to clients.
- Document basic client care utilizing appropriate forms.
- Execute group activities and life skill lessons.
- Transport clients to court and medical appointments utilizing the company vehicle.
- Pick-up & drop-off clients for intake and discharge utilizing the company vehicle.
Facility and Equipment Maintenance:
- Clean and store equipment and supplies after completion of work.
- Clean and straighten shelves, change linen on beds, restock supplies on carts as needed.
- Supervise clients and respond to requests/needs as appropriate.
Communication and Emergency Response:
- Communicate information related to client care to nurses throughout the shift.
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations.
Other Duties:
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Preferred associate’s degree in human services.
Experience:
- Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience providing direct care to substance abuse clients preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years having a valid driver's license (required by insurance company).

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Physical Demands:
- Frequently sit, stand, and walk.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment:
- Occasional moderate to high stress and traumatic situations due to interactions with clients in crisis.
- Exposed to virus, disease, and infection from patients and specimens in the working environment.
Travel Requirement:
- This position transports clients to appointments as needed during the workday utilizing the company vehicle.
Shift:
- Thursday, Friday & Saturday from 7am to 7pm (12-hour shifts)
- Plus, one 4-hour shift on Wednesdays
- Holidays are required on a rotating basis
