We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dispatcher to join our Macomb County office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing the flow of information between various departments and personnel, ensuring that all operations run smoothly. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to think quickly under pressure, and a strong understanding of logistical processes.

Duties

• Manage incoming calls and respond to inquiries with professionalism and courtesy, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
• Utilize phone triage techniques to assess situations and prioritize dispatching needs.
• Communicate effectively with law enforcement and emergency services as necessary.
• Negotiate with various stakeholders to ensure timely responses to requests and issues.
• Operate phone systems and GPS technology to track personnel and resources efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of calls, incidents, and dispatches using GIS systems.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless communication across departments.
• Provide first aid support when required, ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Experience

• Proven experience in a dispatch or similar role is preferred.
• Familiarity with phone systems, GPS technologies, and GIS applications is advantageous.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to communicate clearly in high-pressure situations.
• Knowledge of first aid practices is a plus.
• Experience in law enforcement or emergency services can enhance candidacy.
• Ability to type efficiently while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
