What are the responsibilities and job description for the Funeral Services Assistant position at Lady Family Mortuary?
The main responsibility for a Funeral Services Assistant is to aide in funeral home services, viewings,
memorials, and ceremonies. Other general duties include meeting the general public, answering
questions and providing information. Due to the nature
of this industry some weeks may be busier than others but we promise to give as much advanced notice
as possible. Lady Family Mortuary is a funeral home that values the importance of caring for grieving
families and we are looking for the right person who has a heart for serving others.
Job Requirements
Transfer human remains from location of passing to our funeral home
Make sure every case (body) is properly tagged
Work Funerals, Viewings, and Graveside Services
Safely drives company owned professional vehicles to perform “first call” removals of deceased
For home removals you must be courteous and you must professionally interact with bereaved
family members; exhibiting sensitivity to environment and leaving a warm and courteous first
impression
Cooperates with first responders, Coroner, hospital staff, or Senior Living facility and
accommodate their processes and procedures
Current Drivers License Required
Great at communication and prompt with response time
Our staff is required to dress professionally and conservatively. Our staff is required to be clean,
neat and well-groomed at all times.
Able to Pass a Drug Test
Able to pass Background Check

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- On call
