Position Summary: The Emergency Vehicle Operator will provide pre-hospital care as part of the pre-hospital emergency medical system by providing safe and efficient vehicle operations skills. This person must be able to utilize electronic communication, including portable and mobile radios, electronic patient care records, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to maintain and trouble shoot medical equipment as well as keep equipment and vehicle clean and response ready.
Job Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Valid American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR Certification required
- Valid Driver’s License. Must meet vehicle insurance company requirements
- Completion of available Emergency Vehicle Operator Certification course every two years
- Ability to read city and county maps to locate addresses in a quick manner
