Senior Network Engineer - Crystal City - TS / SCI w / Poly Required day one.The Senior Network Engineer will work with a diverse team of analysts, linguists, cultural experts, and operations officers, focusing on creating and recognizing targeting opportunities and strategies in the cyber-realm. This role is responsible for supporting a variety of networks & systems in a mission-critical enterprise environment. The candidate must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a small team, without a constant management presence. The engineer will primarily deal with project-type work.Required Certifications and Experience : Security or CISSP certification on day one.Advanced knowledge of TCP / IP, network infrastructure, and networked appliances, including administrative access and configuration experience. MUST be fully conversant in the OSI model.Advanced knowledge of Ethernet networking.Advanced knowledge of physical wiring plants, including copper, fiber, and SFP connections.Ability to troubleshoot production networks in real time without causing downtime.Ability to trace network issues back to their source and remediate issues without continuous supervision.Knowledge of telecommunications networks, including PSTN, ISDN (BRI and PRI), ATM, MPLS, Point-to-Point, Frame Relay, etc.Advanced knowledge of switch fabrics, layered infrastructure design, trunked interconnectivity, and VLANs.Knowledge of printers, networked print queues, and basic maintenance.Knowledge of network-attached storage systems and iSCSI-based SANs.Knowledge of rules and procedures for handling government classified and proprietary information.Desired Certifications and Experience : Knowledge of Linux systems (RHEL preferred).Knowledge of VMware ESXi, vSphere, and vCenter.Experience with Cisco infrastructure equipment - routers, switches, SAN switch fabrics, VoIP telephones.Knowledge of VPN technology and implementation.Working knowledge of popular, legacy, and new social media, blog sites, and mobile applications.Knowledge of classified communication systems.Experience working with serial console terminal servers.Knowledge of Mac OSX is desired, but not required.Active CI poly, or willingness to take one.Clearance Requirements : TS / SCI (Active and recent PR within last 5 years).CI Poly or willingness to sit for one.Benefits : All Federal Holidays Paid Vacation.Four Percent Matching 401K.Full health / vision / dental benefits for the employee and family are paid 100% by ZTI Solutions, LLC.Job Type : Full-time.Schedule : Monday to Friday.Experience : Network Engineer : 10 years (Preferred).Security Clearance Required : Top Secret (Required).This Job Is Ideal for Someone Who Is : Dependable - more reliable than spontaneous.Detail-oriented - would rather focus on the details of work than the bigger picture.Autonomous / Independent - enjoys working with little direction.About ZTI Solutions, LLC : ZTI Solutions, LLC was founded in 1997 in Virginia and is classified as a small business.
