What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Operations Analyst (On-Site in Lafayette, LA) position at Lafayette Home Office?
The Financial Analyst is responsible for analytical support of various home office departments as well as overseeing various ad-hoc projects and requests. Analytics will address daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual sources of information (financial, statistical and other data). The analyst will be expected to perform budget variance analysis and reporting, ROI analysis of vendors and projects, and compile data for departmental reviews when necessary.
- Performs real time analysis of current financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improved performance.
- Regularly prepares variance analysis of income statements and operating metrics and provide management with insights and suggestions on improvements.
- Prepares ROI analysis prior to vendor engagement as well as on an interim and post-mortem basis
- Develops and maintains regular department metrics to track and measure performance
- Provides advice and technical assistance with cost analysis, fiscal allocation, and budget preparation.
- Acts in a proactive manner, seeking opportunities to enhance stakeholder support and decision making
- All other duties assigned.
Formal Education: Bachelor's Degree
Experience: 1-3 years
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics or other relevant experience
