Job description
Lafayette House is seeking individuals to join our multi-disciplinary team in providing an empowering, positive, structured atmosphere for women and their dependent children while they participate in residential substance use disorder services.
Responsibilities are performed in the residential living area. Responsibilities include:
- Ensure safety and confidentiality of clients.
- Provide trauma informed advocacy and assistance with clients immediate needs.
- Provide crisis intervention, assessment and safety planning.
- Admit clients into residence.
- Welcome and orient new residents to facility and guidelines to promote empowerment and positive outcome.
- Provide oversight for self-administration of medications.
- Facilitate skill building groups such as positive communication, goal setting, and community living needs.
- Answer 24-hour hotline, providing information and referrals including connecting with an on-call professional, when appropriate.
A good candidate will be self-motivated and able to balance multiple/competing priorities. They should have a good balance of empathy, boundaries, and problem-solving skills.
Bilingual is a plus.
Candidates must pass the Family Care Registry background screening. A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 26 per week

- Medication administration: 1 year (Preferred)
- Bilingual: 1 year (Preferred)
