Qualifications:
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent. Must obtain and maintain a Substitute Certificate.
Preferred: Missouri Teaching Certificate. 5 to 10 years of experience in educational settings or similar industries.
FLSA: Exempt
Salary Schedule: Per Approved Educational Support Salary Schedule
Direct Report: Building Principal
Terms of Employment: 9 Month
Eligible for emergency telework: No
Purpose: Manages a classroom of students who have violated school rules; ensures supervised students complete regular classroom work.
Essential Job Functions:
- Attend work in a regular, reliable and punctual manner.
- Ensure students follow all set rules and remain within the classroom for the duration of the school day.
- Observe students to ensure they stay on task and complete schoolwork.
- Contact teachers to turn in work completed by students and to receive new work; remain in contact with teachers and administration regarding student progress.
- Develop relationships with students to act as a buffer and foster positive relations between students and teachers.
- Take daily roll and inform administration of student absences.
- Arrange for lunches to be brought to students within the classroom.
- Set and maintain rules, protocols, and procedures for students to follow within the classroom.
- Other assigned duties.
