What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Teacher position at LaFontaine Learning Community?
LaFontaine Learning Community is looking for an Assistant Teacher passionate about the development of children. We strongly believe every child should feel undeniably loved every day of their life. Being a Christian child care, the candidate must be able to work respectfully in a Christian ministry environment.
This position will work in classrooms with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. While every day is different, job duties include providing direct care for children, playing, reading, and engaging with children, assisting Lead Teacher with classroom activities, and maintaining classroom schedules and cleanliness. Other various duties as assigned might include but are not limited to ongoing professional development and cleaning and sanitizing.
*Pay rate depends on college coursework in Education and/or childcare experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
