Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Steward to join our kitchen team. This position requires attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to work collaboratively with other kitchen staff.
Responsibilities
- Weekly cleaning schedule
- Work dish machine
- Responsible for pots & pans sink
- Assist with banquet set up
- Trash removal
- General cleaning
- Remain flexible and available for cross-training
Skills & Qualifications
- High School diploma is required (or GED) or currently obtaining.
- Experience in the restaurant or food industry is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining quality standards.
- Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one-or two- step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Will work in humid conditions using hot water and working next to a steaming dish machine. Will use cleaners, polishers and grease removers.
