Position Overview:
As a Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of IT consulting projects for our insurance clients. You will manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and client relationships while ensuring that all project deliverables meet the highest standards of quality. This is a leadership role that requires strong project management skills, a deep understanding of the insurance domain, and the ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Delivery Management:
- Lead and manage the delivery of IT projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This includes overseeing project plans, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring that their needs are met and expectations are exceeded. Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders in the insurance domain, including business leaders, IT teams, and third-party vendors.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Manage cross-functional teams, including technical and non-technical resources, to deliver high-quality solutions. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members to drive performance and professional growth.
- Risk & Issue Management:
- Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies that could impact project delivery. Develop and implement mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure successful project outcomes.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards and client specifications. Work closely with the QA team to ensure testing and validation processes are followed and issues are addressed in a timely manner.
- Project Financial Management:
- Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring that financial targets are met. Provide regular updates on project costs and ensure that any changes to scope or timelines are reflected in the financial forecasts.
- Process Improvement:
- Continuously evaluate and improve project delivery processes, methodologies, and tools to increase efficiency and ensure the successful delivery of future projects.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Over all 12 – 15 years and Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, with at least 2-3 years of experience in managing delivery for IT consulting projects within the insurance domain.
- Proven experience working with insurance clients, understanding their business processes, regulations, and challenges.
- Strong track record of delivering complex IT projects, from initiation through to delivery and closure.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field. A relevant Master’s degree or PMP/Agile certification is a plus.
- Skills & Expertise:
- Extensive knowledge of IT consulting methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid models.
- Strong understanding of the insurance domain (life, health, property, casualty insurance, etc.) and related technologies (e.g., policy management systems, claims management, underwriting platforms).
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project, Asana, or similar).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a global, distributed team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications:
- PMP (Project Management Professional), PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner), or equivalent certification.
- Certifications specific to the insurance industry (e.g., AINS, CPCU) are a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure, software development life cycle (SDLC), and cloud-based technologies.
- Experience in implementing digital transformation solutions for insurance companies (e.g., automation, AI, cloud, data analytics).
