Welding Fabricator Job Summary: Laidig Systems, Inc is looking for an experienced
Welding Fabricator to join our team.
THIS IS A FIRST SHIFT POSITION.
Welder Fabricator Duties & Responsibilities:
- Interpret, fabricate, and build heavy industrial weldments from a print
- Read and apply bills of materials, create fabrications according to work flow
routings and work orders
- Setup and fabricate weldments using modern fixturing and layout table
- Carry out and perform to verbal instructions, maintain and fill out written
documents, perform work in accordance to OSHA lifting guidelines
- Perform welding operations using SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, GTAW
- Perform material removal, cutting and heating operations with oxy-fuel torches, plasma and carbon arc gouging
- Use hand drills, hydraulic punches and shears
- Use large capacity overhead and jib cranes to move heavy weldments and miscellaneous hand-operated material handling equipment
Key Responsibilities:
· Layout, assemble, fabricate and finish weld weldments per verbal and written instructions using layout tables and other fabrication equipment.
· Record all performed daily work into Laidig business system.
· Perform other activities as directed by Team Leader.
· Comply with all company safety and conduct rules.
· Maintain a clean and well-organized area of daily working operation.
· Work overtime as required.
· Provide and maintain your own hand tools, steel toed foot wear and prescription safety glasses if needed.

Education / Qualifications:
· High School Diploma, GED or Technical Schooling.
· 5 plus years fabrication experience mandatory.
· Pass Laidig Welding and Blue Print reading screening.
· Proof of past AWS D1.1 certifications
