Job Description:
Acts as project manager/lead for department-driven marketing events to ensure marketing plans and actions are being implemented. Ensures effective management of assigned expense budgets to optimize results of plans and strategies that are implemented. Monitors the success, impact, and contribution of all event participation. Researches, qualifies, and analyzes information from various sources to make informed business decisions and actions regarding market intelligence, competitive intelligence, and market research, all in support of the revenue goals.
Responsibilities :
- Works with appropriate product and marketing partners to develop and implement marketing strategies relative to individual show purposes and goals. Identifies and coordinates creative requirements, including graphic themes, messaging, design, and floor plan layouts. Writes and submits company descriptions for printed show guides, information for online apps and virtual booths, and advertisements as required.
- Manages all aspects of the pre-show planning process for corporate and marketing-driven shows to ensure all details are coordinated, including submission of exhibitor/sponsor contracts, payments, booth space selection, and booth staff registration. Assists field with trade show logistics upon request.
- Manages corporate and field trade show properties such as hardware and graphics, design and messaging, inventory, usage, maintenance, and storage, including all properties stored off-site at third-party vendor's location and corporate office, to ensure properties are accounted for and maintained.
- Interacts with multiple suppliers, including trade show property production companies, general service contractors, hired labor, freight companies, and uniform and promotional items suppliers to ensure details and logistics are coordinated.
- Handles specific show logistics including shipping, booth setup and tear down, promotional items, uniforms, demos and needed equipment, staff training, etc., to ensure a quality trade show experience. Sources show giveaways and necessary booth supplies. Purchases and maintains inventory of items. Serves as on-site manager for APA, SHRM, HR Tech, and ABA annual expositions and others as required.
- Establishes initial budget to manage trade show expenses. Maintains records of all tradeshow-related expenses to ensure budget requirements are met. Tracks and analyzes budgets for individual shows year-over-year.
- Conducts event postmortems to identify strengths and areas for improvement. Processes all leads for corporate shows. Follows up on show results.
- Works with cross functional marketing team to create and execute engagement strategies to drive traffic to the booth
Skills & Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree
- 5 years experience in Event management experience in a business or hi-tech industry.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with a team of marketing professionals and peers.
- Project management experience with large budgets, teams, and complex schedules.
- Help plan and execute engagement strategies to optimize show results.
- Ability to think creatively and use one's own initiative to conceive, plan, and execute innovative marketing events.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Willingness to travel.
- Strong project management skills.
