We are currently adding a Production Lead in Assembly for our Coon Rapids, MN location. This is a hands-on working lead position within the Mechanical Assembly department. You will assist the Production Supervisor with various tasks related to the supervision and coordination of Assembly. You will also assist in maintaining a structured work environment that benefits both the employees and customers, ensuring efficiency and productivity. The Lead will ensure that procedures are being followed, while also suggesting ideas for streamlining processes. This is a 1st shift position, Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities
- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
- Ensure that all assemblies are manufactured to meet the required delivery or production dates; notifies Supervisor and others required of any delays
- Assist in the coordination and conduct employee training in equipment operations
- Works with their supervisor to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments and to create solutions to complex problems
- Monitor workplace safety and work with others to minimize and eliminate safety risks and obstacles
- Resolves assembly problems by troubleshooting and problem solving, notifying supervisor of necessary resources
- Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 4 years of Mechanical Work Experience required
- Proficiency with Windows based PC and Microsoft Office software
- Familiarity with manufacturing ERP (Epicor) Software is preferred
- Mechanically inclined individual with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to interpret specifications, schematics, job orders, and company policies and procedures for employees
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the company’s policies and other federal, state, and local standards
- Bend and lift, loading and unloading work pieces on to pallets, and move from one workstation to another, alternately sitting and standing
- Lift objects up to 50 pounds throughout the day
- Perform repetitive work more than 9 hours per day
