Job Summary: The Beach Cafe Manager is responsible for the smooth operation of the café located on the beach, including customer service, staff management, inventory control, financial management, and ensuring the establishment adheres to health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a love for working in a beach environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the café, including food production, food preparation, and customer service.
- Manage and train a team of café staff, including hiring, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to create new menu items and specials.
- Utilize a POS system to process transactions accurately.
Skills:
- Strong kitchen experience with knowledge of food production and preparation.
- Proven ability in team management and leadership skills.
- Previous experience in food service management, preferably in a café or restaurant setting.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle customer inquiries and complaints effectively.
- Familiarity with hotel operations is a plus.
- Assistant manager experience is preferred.
- Proficient in using a POS system for order processing and cash handling.

Our season is from Mid June through Labor Day. Weekends are a must but hours are flexible and 2 days off in a row each week are required.
