Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other relevant documents.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure accurate pricing and budget adherence.
- Utilize estimating software such as McCormick to create comprehensive estimates.
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather necessary data for accurate estimations.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable pricing and terms.
- Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle of construction to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Provide support in cost control measures and recommend adjustments as necessary.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to each project.
Skills
- Proficient in electrical estimating techniques with a strong understanding of project management principles.
- Experience with estimating software, particularly McCormick.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with contractors, suppliers, and team members.
