Overview
The Recreation Director plays a vital role in enhancing the membership experience at our POA by overseeing all recreational activities and programs. This position requires a dynamic individual with a strong background in hospitality and customer service, who is enthusiastic about creating memorable experiences for guests. The Recreation Director will lead a team in providing exceptional guest relations and ensure that all recreational offerings are engaging, safe, and enjoyable.
Duties
- Develop and implement diverse recreational programs and activities that cater to members and guests of all ages.
- Supervise and train recreation staff to ensure ambitious standards of service and member engagement.
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring satisfaction with recreational services.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate events, promotions, and special activities that enhance the overall guest experience.
- Maintain equipment and facilities used for recreational activities to ensure safety and cleanliness.
- Monitor participation levels in various programs and adjust offerings based on members and guest feedback and trends.
- Create schedules for staff coverage during peak times to ensure optimal service delivery.
- Promote recreational services through effective communication strategies, including social media and on-site marketing.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in customer service or hospitality role, preferably within a hotel or resort setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of recreational programming, safety standards, and equipment maintenance.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in planning events and managing resources.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
