Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role as a Senior Planner at the LCLGRPB. The Senior Planner will be responsible for the development and coordination of community-based projects and programs focused on zoning and community development, transportation, housing, and main street reinvestment. Day-to-day tasks include conducting research, developing and authoring community plans, facilitating community engagement, and implementing regional development projects. While the role is primarily based in Lake George, NY, there is flexibility for some remote work.
Qualifications
- Experience in land use planning, community development, and project management
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and zoning laws
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Planning, Architecture, Engineering, Environmental Studies, or related field and 2 - 3 years of related experience.
