Job Description: Automotive Office ManagerPosition Overview:
The Automotive Office Manager oversees the Lake dealership’s financial and administrative operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. This role combines accounting expertise, leadership, and organizational skills to support dealership objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports in compliance with dealership and manufacturer guidelines.
- Reconcile accounts, oversee audits, and maintain compliance with financial regulations.
- Supervise and train office staff, implementing policies to improve efficiency.
- Oversee title and registration processes, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
- Act as a liaison between the office team and dealership management, vendors, lenders, and manufacturers.
- Provide recommendations on financial performance and operational improvements.
- Maintain secure and accurate records for financial and legal documents.
- Stay updated on regulations, tax laws, and industry standards.
- Assist with external audits and tax preparation.
- Attend Manager meetings
Qualifications:Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in dealership accounting or office management.
- Proficiency in dealership management software or similar.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
Work Environment:
- Full-time role during standard business hours, with occasional overtime.
