Job Title: Human Resources Coordinator
Facility: Bedrock Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Lake City
Location: Lake City, Florida
Pay Rate: $31.25 per hour
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Human Resources Coordinator to join our team at Bedrock Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Lake City, Florida.
Responsibilities:
- Handle all aspects of Human Resources including employee morale programs, employee disciplines, payroll changes, terminations, resignations, benefits, I-9, workers' compensation, disability, and FMLA.
- Ensure the facility complies with all regulatory authorities, including the Department of Health.
- Manage recruitment efforts by determining open positions, screening applicants, and conducting interviews.
- Review and process new personnel requests, ensuring employee files meet regulatory standards.
- Oversee employee performance evaluations and collaborate with department heads to implement necessary actions.
- Communicate policies and procedures to staff and maintain a positive workplace culture.
- Initiate and participate in employee morale programs to support employee engagement.
- Orient new personnel and maintain communication with department directors.
- Prepare reports and provide recommendations to the Administrator.
- Maintain mandatory postings and ensure compliance with labor regulations.
- Assist with the recruitment, selection, and training of new employees.
- Provide guidance and disciplinary action when necessary.
- Manage attendance records and oversee leaves of absence.
- Conduct investigations and exit interviews.
- Monitor and manage unemployment claims.
- Act as a liaison between union delegates/employees and management.
- Ensure regular training sessions and maintain training records for all staff.
Requirements:
- At least one year of experience in Human Resources (preferably in a skilled nursing or healthcare facility).
- Experience with unions is a plus.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
