JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: English Teacher
Job Classification: 10-month employee
Reports to: Principal
Position Summary: A highly motivated English Teacher is needed to join our dynamic team at Lake Country Lutheran High School. We are looking for teachers with knowledge of differentiated instruction techniques, knowledge of creating and implementing innovative lesson plans, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues, and have strong classroom management skills. Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (required)
- Expertise in presenting to small and large audiences
- Ability to communicate effectively with and maintain positive relationships with staff, students, and families
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work productively both as a member of a team and independently
- Strong attention to detail
Essential Job Requirements:
- Ability to maintain concentration and focus on tasks requiring timeliness and accuracy.
- Ability to make presentations to various groups including classrooms, meetings, small group meetings, and one-on-one meetings.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Assess and evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the science curriculum and participate in professional development opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
