Job Title: Director Grants Management and OperationsESC of the Western Reserve
Reports To/Evaluated By: Superintendent
Contract: 260 days
Summary: This person is responsible for seeking out, applying, and managing all facets of awarded
grants to ensure compliance and oversee the implementation of grant-funded initiatives. This would
include budget oversight, federal/state/local reporting, building community/educational partnerships, and
communicating initiatives across all departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities. The Administration may assign other duties.
Grant Management:
Seeks out and writes submissions for grant opportunities for the growth and support of ESCWR.
Builds and maintains relationships with district, community, and other partners to find appropriate grant
opportunities to support educational opportunities.
Oversight and management of grants to meet deadlines and compliance reporting requirements.
Responsible for ensuring grants are within budget and compliant with grant rules.
Must ensure compliance with Federal, state, and local law and governing board policies.
Staying current with trends in the assigned area of responsibility.
Operations Oversight:
Oversight of all grant initiatives and worked daily with the fiscal department to ensure compliance and
appropriate expenditures related to grant/budget requirements. Monitoring timelines for reporting
requirements, communicating ongoing with federal/state/local partners, and creating internal systems for
consistency with day-to-day operations.

Education/Experience & Certification: Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) or equivalent. Must have
demonstrated experience with successful grant writing and management.
Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to write
successful grant applications. Ability to provide top management with compelling and persuasive
speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics.
Math Ability: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to
practical situations.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must know how to use an internet
browser for research and have the ability to use virtual meeting tools.
Physical Demands: The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or
move up to 75 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. May need to perform 1 -2
person lifts, diaper K-12 students, and perform holds according to CPI training. Specific vision abilities
required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception, and
Ability to adjust focus. Performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands
to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee must frequently stand, walk, sit, reach with hands
and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance.
