What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guest Services Attendant position at Lake County Forest Preserve District?
Temporary Positions: April – November 2025
Approximately 20 – 25 hours per week during golf season
SUMMARY
The Guest Services Attendant is responsible for checking receipts of all players before allowing play on the golf course. Informs all players of course rules, regulations, and conditions. Observes and ensures a smooth pace of play, especially during heavy demand periods. Ensures that golf carts are readily available for issuance, are stored properly at the beginning and end of the day, in their proper locations, are filled/charged with gas and oil/electric, and are clean. Operates a ball picker to retrieve golf balls; transports balls to be cleaned daily and fills appropriate dispensers. Maintains water coolers on-course with adequate supplies (i.e., water, ice, cups). Collects garbage from various stations in and around the clubhouse, parking lots, golf course, etc., and transports to outside refuse containers. Vacuums necessary areas within clubhouse, cleans and mops floors, washes windows and cleans and stocks clubhouse and on-course restroom facilities when necessary. Repairs ball marks on greens whenever possible. Provides high levels of customer services and sound public relations. Drives motorized equipment. Performs tasks that will require walking, bending, stooping, standing, kneeling, climbing, reaching, and sitting. Performs heavy lifting tasks up to 50 pounds and as much as 25 pounds overhead.
EXPERIENCE
Previous customer service experience desired.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Anticipated Starting Rate: $15.00
