What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Guidance Counselor position at LAKE COUNTY SCHOOLS?
Lake County Schools is seeking school counselor for a few schools in the Eustis, Tavares, Leesburg & Mt. Dora areas. Your purpose in this job would be to serve in a student advisement and advocacy capacity in fostering the attainment of student educational goals. You would be responsible for facilitating appropriate student entrance into the educational system and establishing a suitable course of academics based on identified goals and abilities of each individual student. Work includes maintaining communication, knowledge of student progress toward established goals, and providing professional counseling services. Monitoring student progress and facilitating achievement of academic success would also be assigned duties.

Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Counseling required. Master's Degree in School Counseling preferred. Must have or be eligible for Florida Department of Education certification in Guidance and Counseling. Experiences in educational settings are highly valued.
