What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sterile Supply Tech Cert-Central Sterile Processing-FT-(Nights) position at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital?
Collects, decontaminates, stores and distributes all reusable supplies and patient care equipment in the hospital.
Minimum Education
High School graduate or equivalent.
Required Licenses
Must hold current CS/SPD Certification with either the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) or The International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materials Management. A current certificate must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.
Minimum Work Experience
Two years of experience in hospital sterile processing operations is preferred.
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
